Only one week until release of Grand Theft Auto 4. I have preordered my special edition, have you?


Under normal circumstances special editions of video games are a major waste of money. You spend twenty extra bucks and what do you get? A metal case and some bonus material on the making of the game. Some games (World of Warcraft) are a little better and give some in game content (pets, items, etc.) that make it seem a little less like you are getting swindled out of your hard earned dollars.

This time however I drank the kool-aid. I shucked out the extra $30 ( Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition - $90) for some Rockstar gear. This is actually one of the best special edition packages I have ever seen though. You get the game, an art book, the soundtrack audio CD, a Rockstar keychain, a Rockstar saftey deposit box, and a Rockstar duffel bag. For those who preordered on Amazon might also get a license plate also.
