Warriors Orochi, called Musou Orochi in Japan, is a spin-off of Koei’s very popular Dynasty Warriors Series. The martial arts game brings together both the Chinese characters from Dynasty Warriors and the Japanese characters from Samurai Warriors. The premise of the game is Orochi, the Serpent King, has bent time and space to bring together the best warriors from China and Japan in order to test his skills.

Warriors Orochi PC Cover The basic gameplay differs from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai only slightly. Instead of your general vs. an entire army, Warriors Orochi turns it into a three general tag-team vs. an even larger army. The key is how you use each general at one time. You can fight with one character and when his or her energy is low you can tag them out for another of your 3 characters. As each character sits on the sidelines they rest and gain back energy for when they have to fight again. The game becomes really interesting when you fill each character’s Musou Meter to create special attacks that can be combined for even more damage.

Warriors Orochi 2 starts off from where the original left off with the same four storylines as well as a completely new Orochi storyline. There is also a new Dream Mode that offers a storyline that is different from the primary storyline.
