The Bonnaroo Music and Art Festival was first held in 2002 on a farm in Manchester, Tennessee, just south of Nashville. The four day music festival will take place on June 12th-15th, 2008. Bonnaro has groups from a wide variety of genres including indie folk, world music, hip hop, jazz, americana, bluegrass, country music, folk, gospel, reggae, electronica, and other alternative music (Wikipedia).

Every year the festival gets bigger and bigger and picks up more and more sponsors. Over the past few years Bonnaroo has put more of an emphasis on recycling and “greening”. According to the Bonnaroo website, The Bonnaroo Music Festival and Conscious Alliance are putting on the 5th Annual Food Drive to benefit the Good Samaritan Food Pantry and will have tents set up around the festival for visitors to drop food off for the drive.
